Personality

Creative | Gentle | Modest | Gullible | Shy | Clumsy |

Creative: Cherrie's mind loves to run wild about crazy stories. If she has time, she will always go off into her own little world and draw inspiration from whatever she happens to come up with while in there, and that can reflect in most of her work. She comes up with numerous ideas of her own in things she makes that are typically completely of her own ingenuity. This can extend to when she's talking, always coming up with new ways to discuss topics whenever she does socialize a lot.

Gentle: Cherrie would never intentionally hurt a fly or break anything she comes across. Her paw work is very delicate, and her attitude towards others shares this same trait. She doesn't like to see others be hurt because of what she does and she also feels bad when she does something that ruins something. Additionally, her temper is extremely calm and it's difficult to make her angry, but when she does, you don't want to be around to witness it.

Modest: Trying to give praise to Cherrie will almost never go as expected because she doesn't see herself as superior or better than anyone else. Even if she's done the absolute best she can and does something jaw-dropping, awe-inspiring, or stunning, she will always try to push pride away and remain humble about it. She also never gets cocky or confident about anything, always have a sense of caution inside of her unless she's absolutely sure what she's doing is completely safe and withing her capabilities. Lastly, she herself doesn't like to look extravagant, but more basic.

Gullible: You can tell a blatant lie to Cherrie and she will take it as complete truth, even if no concrete evidence can back it up. As a result, it's quite easy to twist Cherrie around and make her believe whatever you want her to believe. Even if proof presents itself to her somehow, she finds it hard to deny the way she thought about it before. This makes it hard to ever fix a lie or change a truth you've told her, for better or for worse.

Shy: When it comes to socialization, Cherrie would rather not say a word and instead slink away from it all. She doesn't like to be around others she isn't very comfortable with, giving her a sense of timidness and scaredness whenever she's dragged off into something she doesn't want to be a part of. She does want to get to know more cats in inspire her, but her shell in situations like that make it a very complicated scenario. She also doesn't speak up a lot when she is around someone new or someone she doesn't know very well, which can make it hard to approach her.

Clumsy: Half the time Cherrie tries to walk somewhere it seems, she finds a way to stagger, trip, or fall along the way. She absolutely hates how undexterous she is and it gets in the way for her constantly. This comes back to bite her when she tries to make something like a craft, because she can accidentally botch it up if she isn't paying 100% attention to whatever she's doing. Her word choices and talking skills are also clumsy and unrefined, leading her to gets things across in a very awkward and weird way, and makes her the opposite of a smooth talker.

Brief History

Prologue:

Orion was born into the followers as a young kitten and was almost a perfect example of what follower should be: ruthless, cunning, and fearless. Being like that was the only thing he really ever knew how to do. He was efficient and the higher-ranks loved him for that. He did start to change a little when he met Arie.

Arie was also born into the followers, but she was about the opposite of what Orion was; she tried to avoid violence whenever she could, wanted to make things for others, and was always being picked on as a result. Arie was too sweet to really do anything to protect herself from all of this, but when Orion caught sign of it, he grew a small protective side for her and was there to defend her whenever he was around.

It was at that time that Arie realized she had found her perfect guardian, leading her to open up to the tom, with them eventually hitting things off and eventually deciding to have kittens of their own.

History:

Orion and Arie gave birth to three kittens: two she-cats and one tom. They decided on the names, mostly because of Arie, of Cherrie, Faerie, and Barry. Orion hoped one would be named close to what he was, but when Arie actually grew adamant on the idea, he didn't want to push the names anymore.

During much of their tome growing up as kittens, Orion was almost never around. He was tasked to go off and do various things for the Followers, being one of the most-respected normal ranks, almost at Bounty Hunter level. Caring for the kittens was mostly up to Arie, who did have some difficulty caring for them on her own, but she managed to toughen up a little and pull through with what help Orion was able to provide, which was always welcomed.

While growing up, Cherrie adopted after her mother a lot, being the shy, quiet one who disliked violence if she could help it. She really leaned a lot on her family at this time, especially Barry, who was there to kind of 'protect' his older sisters. Cherrie was also close to her sister Faerie, as they spent a lot of time together in camp, though Faerie was a little more out-going than Cherrie herself was, which left her alone some of the time. That was what she always hated about her kitten-hood, to which Arie caught on quickly and was always there for the three of them. Overall, she had a pretty lonely one besides her family.

When the time came for their mentors, Cherrie got the most cruel one of the three. Her mentor was Fletcher. Fletcher was quick to catch on that Cherrie was shy and tried to avoid anything remotely dangerous or outside her comfort zone, and he exploited that to the fullest degree. Fletcher always tried to make Cherrie fight and forced her to do things that she adamantly refused to. He wanted her to come out as tough, rigid, and cold as her element; ice. All that Cherrie can remember about this is the pain he inflicted on her when she would't easily do what he said and all the crying she did at such pain. Fletcher had almost given up on Cherrie.

One thing that got Cherrie to at least follow along was advice from her father. Orion had told her that if she wanted the pain to stop, she just had to play along, even if she didn't like it. It also helped that he came down on Fletcher upon hearing that he was bringing pain to one of his daughters, even if Cherrie was his least favorite of his recent kittens. After that, Fletcher was less cruel and just slightly more understanding, which led Cherrie to performing better at her initiate tasks and actually shaping into a halfway decent follower initiate.

One moment that did stick out was when Cherrie, Faerie, and Barry all got together with their mentors to go exploring in the nearby areas. All three of the kittens were excited for it, even Cherrie. They had all come across a cave that was deep, dark, and treacherous. The mentors had decided that one should go in, Faerie's mentor, while the other two stood guard at the entrance to the cave. The kittens and the one mentor explored deep into the cave, which was full of wonders to the kittens, who had never seen this kind of stuff before. Towards the end of their little adventure, they came across some funny-looking rocks, gemstones, and all three of them worked at freeing some of the ones they found. Barry had some Obsidian, Faerie some Yellow Jasper, and Cherrie had some Amethyst. They had returned to camp after that and her and Faerie had them worked into necklaces for the three of them.

Eventually Cherrie did graduate from initiate-hood, though was the last one to do so out of her siblings by about two cycles. Things started to change once she became a full-rank follower. Her and her siblings had found less support from their parents because Orion was even busier and Arie never really ever got a change to talk to her kittens anymore. That saddened Cherrie: Arie had always loved caring for her kittens and being there when they needed it, but it was clear that really wasn't going to happen anymore. Thankfully Faerie and Barry were still there to support each other in this time, which probably helped all of them a lot.

This time was also very tough on Cherrie; she was expected to perform everything she learned as an initiate and so much without a second thought to any of it. It took a lot in her to really oblige, and while she was doing an acceptable job, she was't performing up-to-snuff to the rest, causing her to catch a lot of flak from her peers. Cherrie was to thankful that Barry was there to protect his sister still. As time went on, Cherrie had formed thoughts about trying to run away from the Followers as a whole, as it was making her completely uncomfortable. She remembered bringing the idea up to her siblings and they were on board for their own reasons.

The fateful day had come; two cycles and six moons after they had been born. They were ready to attempt to flee from the followers. They had all gotten tasks on that day out of the camp, and while she all left at separate time, they all met up at the same place, ready to make the run for it. However, it did't go quite as planned as another Follower and a Bounty Hunter had heard what they were planning and seeking to stop them. All Cherrie remembers about that fight was that she had managed to use Blood Chill on the both of them, giving Faerie, Barry, and herself time to start making a run for it. That stuck out to her a lot because it was the most intentionally harmful thing she had done to another cat, almost killing one of them.

Their fleeing attempt was successful, but now they were without a region and only had one another to depend on. All three of them pulled their own weight in their survival for about six moons, but they eventually realized that they needed a place to call home in order to survive. They all agreed that the only option left was one of the regions; the thing that had been raised to grow to hate. In all fairness, Cherrie had no hostile feelings towards the regions but also no real aspirations. She never much believed in the whole Andromeda and Bane thing, despite her believing just about everything else. Eventually, they made their way to the West region in te Neutral Territory and had gone up to the West and begged them basically if they could find refuge, and they were allowed in.

When he was done with his small little speech there, he had to take a moment to try and compose himself, not caring that a tear had rolled off of him. He didn't immediately realize that Anabella was moving closer to him until he felt her nuzzling him. It got him deep into thought: what would have happened if he was still in the North? He knew he would've had to fight the Followers in the kitten raids, and he very well could've bee nearly kidnapped at that time too. He also thought about what if his imaginary life of the North wasn't all he made it out to be? Clearly he was still mentally confused, and only time would help clean his mind.

Of course, with those thoughts, also came thoughts of what if he never met Anabella? Would he even really be anywhere close to happy? He knew the only other follower he liked, Emil, was gone now, so he would be lonely if it weren't for her. He decided to at least suppress those thoughts while he was on this date tonight.

Finally, he did respond to her with "Thing is, I don't know how my family really was past that one bad moment. I don't remember a lot about them, so my own mental images of them could be completely wrong; I just don't know. Part of me still wishes I could at least see how that path would've turned out... but in the end." He said, then looked right at Anabella and gave her a small peck on the cheek, then said "I'm doing pretty darn well here, all things considered."
